Animated brand film - lively & fitting
When major changes occur in a company, animated brand films support communication. Whether rebranding or mergers, brand films can be used to communicate even complex processes to employees and customers in a simple, understandable and entertaining way.
When brands change
MessengerPeople is now Sinch Engage. We accompanied this important process with an animated brand film. However, this was to be clearly different from previous MessengerPeople films and strongly oriented towards the corporate identity of the new company.
Clear style, clear message and entertaining
Clear forms and easy-to-read texts give this brand film a clear orientation. This makes it easy to follow the content. A flat illustration style was deliberately chosen for this film so that, among other things, elaborate and lively animations were possible.
Motion design meets animation
To briefly delve deeper into the topic: In this brand film, we combined motion graphic design and frame-by-frame animation. This means that the main character can move in a much more elaborate way than would be possible with classic motion design. It can turn, twist and perform other 'tricks'.
Frame-By-Frame Making Of
To go one step deeper before we return to the animated brand film: How did we combine frame-by-frame and motion design?

Once the storyboard was completely finalized, we used Clip Studio Paint software to create intermediate frames. These are the elaborate movements of our character. However, the first and last frames were converted into vector graphics in After Effects. This allowed us to animate the start and end via motion design and use frame-by-frame animations in between.
An animated brand film as part of the campaign
On the Sinch Engage project page, the brand film is integrated as an integral part of the campaign. The film was also created in various resolutions for social media. These include 1:1 (square) and 9:16 (portrait). The film is therefore used multiple times and reaches the target group where it actually is.
Why animated brand films?
Animations don't always work, that's clear. But abstract or simplified representations can help to understand complex processes in particular. There are also brands that are very graphic from the outset and for which animations are therefore ideal.
